Hello Everyone, I am sorry that I haven't been regular with my posts for the past few weeks due to lots of reasons. It all started with my hand and shoulder pain ,then there were some un-planned day trips to the zoos and entertainment parks the kids asked for before the school starts and then was also busy getting things ready for back-to-school for the kids.Well that's enough of excuses :-) .
The last 2 months were very relaxing for the kids and for me too.Once the school starts next week the hustle and bustle of the day starts. This year my little one will be joining school and will be going with her brother to the school,so it's very exciting and the same time wondering how she will do at school in the new environment.I know she will be fine. She is excited to go to school with her brother.Big brother taking care of the little sister at school ,he is already telling her how she has to be at school and what she is going to learn and who her teacher might be.She is busy enjoying her new uniform, backpack and lunch-bag and lunch box and water bottle. It's amazing how days pass by so quickly. It's as if my son just started school yesterday and already my daughter is getting ready for pre-school :-)
Happy Raksha Bandhan
I felt happy and proud today when my son was telling his sister that school is fun and they make lots of friends there and that he is going to be there for her. What day would be better than today(Rakhi-Rakshabandhan) to share this special bond between a brother and sister.I told my son that today is Rakhi and this is a special day when brother and sister promise to take care of each other.I told him that when his sister ties rakhi to him, he has to give a gift to her.He told me that he would like to do something special for his sister and immediately went inside his toy room and started making something his sister likes--- a nice chain with beads for his little sister that said "Love U Sis" , I was very happy with his thoughtful gift.My daughter was very happy to see the beautiful surprise that her brother made for her.
Tried and Tasted Recipes of the Day
Coming back to 3T's, I should say that all these busy schedules did not interrupt me from posting the Tried and Tasted Recipes on Tuesdays. In fact these Tried and Tasted Recipes from fellow bloggers have been very helpful for me to keep up with the unplanned outings.Coming to today's tried and tasted , I tried 3 delicious recipes from 3 wonderful bloggers. All the recipes were very easy to make and delicious to taste.
I followed the recipe as is and it tasted very delicious.I never had thengai podi before. This is the first time I made it and tasted it .We all loved this delicious podi. This is going to be a regular podi in my kitchen from now on.Thank you Mahimaa for sharing this delicious podi recipe with us.
I followed the recipe as is except that I did not add shallots.I liked the additional flavors of ginger and onion to carrot that made this pachadi more delicious.Next time I make it, I will make sure to add some shallots to the dish.Thank you Sarah for sharing this delicious pachadi with us.
I followed the recipe as is except that I added some grated carrot to the batter.Usha suggested 3.5 cups of water but I had to add 1/4 cup more of water. This dosa tasted very delicious and we all enjoyed this instant and healthy dosa.Thank you Usha for sharing this delicious dosa recipe with us.
Dear friends please visit these wonderful bloggers for today's recipes that I tried and for many more wonderful recipes they have shared with us in their respective blogs. Will be back with more tried and tasted recipes next week.
